The secret ingredient in the health coach's breakfast

Posted by Feel Iceland on

J úlía Magnúsdóttir, a health coach and raw food chef, has helped many people with their diets, and her courses have been very popular.

Júlía shares with us her favorite breakfast, which is coconut yogurt with mango, granola, and fresh mint. In addition, Júlía always uses collagen, which she says is an absolute must.

"After the age of 25, the body's natural production of collagen decreases by 1% per year, but collagen is one of the most important compounds for the skin. By taking collagen powder, we are stimulating the body's other production of protein that helps maintain the structure of the body's tissues. Collagen is therefore believed to help slow down skin aging, support digestion, help joints, and have a positive effect on hair growth," says Júlía, who says she is adept at putting it in all kinds of food.

"I think it's key that breakfast is quick, nutritious and gives you good energy for the day and this recipe does just that for me. I started adding the collagen powder to my yogurt and I feel more full and that I feel fuller for longer because one serving of Feel Iceland's collagen powder contains 9 g of protein. Additionally, the recipe contains protein from nuts, seeds, oats that are in the granola along with chia seeds."

Júlía says she uses Icelandic collagen from Feel Iceland, but it's easy to mix into yogurt, smoothies, or shakes without even noticing. You can also bake with it and add the powder to cookies or raw cake.
